Dear spammer,
That was the latest word-verification word that I had to type in. And it got me thinking.
You only spam because you want to make someone’s life miserable, right? Because it gives you immense sadistic pleasure? And also because you’re bored and have a lot of time on your hands, but that’s immaterial. Unfortunately, Blogger introduced word-verification and shattered all your dreams. But you know what? It’s really not an anti-spam move. Oh no! It’s only replaced what you used to do, and it does it better. These word-verification things irritate the hell out of me. In fact, they irritate me more than you used to. What does that tell you, huh? That you lost! You lost in this battle of being a jerk. And you’re not even doing anything about it. That’s just pathetic. Don’t you have any pride? Doesn’t it prick your ego that someone is now doing your job better than you used to?
Well, I’ve got a proposition for you. How about you work on a way to beat these damn word-verifiers? I’m sure that shouldn’t be too hard for you. You’ve got a devious mind. You’ll find a solution, won’t you? And then, you’ll be able to spam in spite of word-verification. And you know what would happen then? The bloggers will soon remove WV because they’ll realize that it doesn’t make a difference. So you’ll not only get to spam once again, you’ll even have beaten Blogger’s WV. That’s killing two birds with one stone.
So what do you say? Are you up to it? I dare you!

Wow. I'm really first to comment on the ever popular Ms. V's blog - and that too without even trying.
As for your post - WV really bothers you that much? Come on it ain't all that bad. Damn those spammers though, once they've identified you as a target - they go all out against you. At one stage I got 15 spam comments in the space of an hour.
Horrendus. Some of you IT guys should do smthg about it.

Hey.. the WV system is not foolproof. It just prevents automatic messages.. Nothing can stop stupid people with nothing to do from spamming.
But I'm all for WV.. My blog is for humans.. not machines.. And now I have the satisfaction of knowing that the spammer in question has wasted his/her time typing out all those words and will NOT get a reply from me for all that work.. :D
[Sahil] I saw the spam on your site.. NOTHING can be done for that kind of spam.. We IT guys are helpless.. Silence works best for me. For more eloquent writers like Ms. V, bitching might help. She single handedly got rid of an idiotic spammer on my blog.. I still laugh when I think of the spammer reading her comment... lol

As for WV, it really really bugs me. I'd rather press the delete button 15 times, than type in some crazy array of letters! Plus, I've been so used to typing in a comment and pressing enter. But now I get a red remark saying, you've entered the WV word incorrectly. Aargh!

Anywyz, mine wasnt random, I juz wanted to applaud u for ur post. Sooper dooper, I get annoyed no end on seeing WV too.. Infact, there might be 15 spams, but only the author gets bugged. If u leave it like tht too, it juz adds to the blog's popularity n the comments ;) Imagine 50 comments on the post and 50 bugged souls... So ur post is juz too good :D

Btw, one trivia abt spam... It only affects the top post of the blog. Once u write another post, ur first post is spam free.. so always have a Hello spammer post on top..by changing the date of the post..

This is not the 1st time I found someone trying to get back through a post at an anonymous automated bot spammer. Apart from letting off steam, how would it help ?
I dont use Word Verification or stuff like that. I get back at these mindless buggers by giving them a taste of their own medicine. We have an semi-automated process that collects SPAMmers mail IDs and give it to the other SPAMmers. :-)
