Livin’ la Vidavinci

My dad was always mighty proud of anything I did, but he especially loved these. He was to take them with him to Dubai on that day. They got left behind for some reason.

Still Life

That's a flower vase with no flowers in it. There are 2 whole apples and one that's been cut in half. The small blue thingy is an orange squeezer. I know there are no oranges. But it's art. Anything goes. Plus it's my art. So whatever.

The Pier

This a colourful one, isn't it? It's basically just lots of boats, big and small, one house, some people and some trees.

During my one-month summer vacation, I spent 8 days learning oil painting, and this is what I accomplished. I think they're not bad at all!

And here’s a little tribute to my favourite cartoon character:

Next project - A portrait of my dad.

there's this certain person called mahesh balaji..pretty much a kinded spirit, as talkative and naughty as u can get ..and also a wonderful artist...enough proof that artists are not the brooding , bearded stereotypes showon on T.V

Well apart from what the others have ALREADY said
,let me try to add something...I havent ever used Oil Paints...Just Poster colours for basic cartoon-like colouring....
Anywez lets Critique Ms V...The first painting has good depth...I can see you went for some amount of realism...The Spacial qualities are fine but there is this cleanliness to it (my view k...what we see was probably exactly what you wanted)...This clean look can be seen in many computer generated images...thats coz computers are bad at creating dirt and worn out looks...I m telling you there is NOTHING more real than dirt...

The second picture is just brilliant..I have seen many American Painters who paint in the same bright vivid style...dunno what its called tho...We can ask Yohan...but I think the second painting is good as it is...

looks like you have a fan following already !!! . I couldnt add more to the encomiums , so all I would say is KEEP AT IT !!!
The second painting is especially nice :).
