Ahh Men, Amen!
There are matters of the mind. Then there are matters of the heart. But most importantly, there are matters of the hormones. This post is a direct result of the third kind.
I love men.
As much as I’m ooh-la-la-ing while the likes of Travolta, Willis, Pitt and Depp (sigh!) strut their stuff around on the Hollywood screen, I’m attracted more towards the men of the Indian sub-continent. Personally, I’m not a big fan of the white skinned. They’re all quite bland, just like their food. I like my men like my chocolate – brown and rich. There are a few other ways I like my men like my chocolate, but I’ll leave that to the marvelous thing we call ‘the human imagination’. (Johnny Depp sure knows how to remain desirable, first with “Chocolat” and now with “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”. Yum.)
Even amongst chocolaty men, my hormones have their biases. Muslim men. It’s probably not the right time globally to say things like that but hormones know no sense. It’s been evident in Bollywood for quite a few years now, what with the Khans having overtaken the industry – Aamir, Shah Rukh, Salman, Saif, and now Zayed. Our Hritiks and Abhisheks are a recent discovery. My current Bollywood Muslim heartthrob is Emraan Hashmi. Ever since I saw him half-naked in the “Bheegey Hont” video, I’ve been… err… thinking… yeah, thinking about him. Gorgeous, gorgeous man.
Speaking of Muslim men, I have a confession to make. I think Pakistani men are HOT. I won’t get into the details of how hot I think they are because that could cause me to be ripped off my Indian passport. Let’s just say that they make me do things; things that can only be explained with the phrase “Damn those hormones.” One man who had control over my hormones for a long, long time was Shoaib Akhtar. With his pace, those fiery eyes and that really long run up that made his ultra-silky hair bounce up and down, I was a goner. (Quick Trivia: I was heart-broken when Akhtar turned down the offer to play the lead role in Mahesh Bhatt’s latest venture “Gangster”!)
However, no matter how hard this may be to believe, even hormones know loyalty. There will always be that one man who is capable of making you shun all men throwing themselves at you, albeit all at once. Ooh, now there’s a delightful image. Anyway, before I get carried away, as is the case with every delectable man, he falls under one of the two heart-breaking categories. And I’ve yet to be attracted to a gay man.
He’s married. He’s got a beautiful wife. He’s the father of two kids. He’s the object of my obsessive affection. Unfortunately for me, he’s Arjun Rampal.

I'm not white skinned... yahoooo! Ms.V likes me.... :-).
Are you rich, Leon? :D
Yes, George. Shoaib Akhtar really. In fact, his British accent is a turn on too! But when it comes to accents, Waqar Younis takes the cake. SO SO SO SEXXXXY! And if your list is going to feature Ash over Sush, I've already decided not to waste my time on it! :p
I’ll give you Johnny Depp definitely … And I am big Bradd Pitt fan too, coz of the roles he picks (he NEVER plays the stereotypical hero)!
But, Arjun Rampal!!!! He is the worst of the lot you just mentioned up there!!!
(Shaking my head and curling my lips in disappointment!!)
George, you think my hormones care about the credibility of their accents? They're hot men who sound yummy. Who cares??? :D
Vibes, you think my hormones care about the fact that Rampal's a sucky actor or that Pitt & Depp act better roles? As far as I'm concerned, Rampal's the best of any lot because he is just sooooo... mmmmmmm... don't make me say things here that I don't want to! *blush* :p
miss V>> best thing about you. balls to the world I will write what i like. like "mmmmmmm... don't make me say things here that I don't want to!" hehehehe.. ;-)
samajhdar ko ishara kaafi hai and Waquar Younis has great english no doubt... Wasim Akram ke baare mein aap ka kya vichar hai?? he is also Married, has two kids, and blah blah blah..
V..
Horny..
totally...
exactly....
Should we all do horny blog posts? I've got my list all ready.
Regarding the religion-specific hormone, I can relate. Muslim women are hot too. Perhaps it's the mysterious power of veils...
Chocolate-skin is all very well, but Shoaib is pushing it. What a goofball.
Oh , yeh main kahan aa gaya ! i thought this was an under-18 family audience types blog.Raam Raam , the youngsters these days....
Yoyo!!! How is Shoaib a goofball??? And George, why in the world would I want to know that he eats 24 egg whites in a day??? :p I don't get why everyone is against Shoaib. He is such a hottie!!! Man, I'd never thought there'd come a day when I'd have to say this but looks like I actually need some girls out here to concur!
Oye, Abhinav. How old are you in comparison to me??? :p Waise I'm sure ki if it was a write up on Ash instead, you wouldn't be complaining! And tumhe seriously lagta hai ki all those who come to this blog are 'under-18 family audience type'???
Holy cr@p!! You stole my next week's posts!! My blog this week was going to feature 7 men I think are HOT!! Well well well, now I have to think of something else :-P
stop stealing my thoughts!!!!!!! ;)
..p..
Hehehehe! Is it that time of the year when all females are thinking about hot men??? Oh wait. It's an everyday thing!
Kroopa, please go ahead anyway. Hot men are ALWAYS welcome.
And Priya, I've always suspected that I was adopted. I might have to ask my parents again. I'm 20 now. I can handle the truth before I overhear it in one their discussions filmi istyle! :D
I'm not 'rich' yet.. but I will be in 4-5 years.. :D. You should be about the right age then.. How do you feel about America though... ;-)?
Amreeka??? Hmmm. Well, my reply will be directly proportional to how rich you'll be! ;) Mind settling for Canada instead?
It's upto you but I kinda think I'd make more money in Amreeka which is what YOU want..... why Canada btw? I can think of more exotic locations... ;-).
Hehehehe! Well I thought if you're bent upon the west, then Canada is the better of the two evils! :p Exotic locations are vacation spots. If you live there long, they don't remain exotic anymore.
Waise, my favourite place in the world is Dubai, because it's the perfect blend of east and west. What say???
Lesser of the two evils? looks like you are not a big fan of the west.. pray why, may I ask?
I visited Dubai on my way back from India last month and I liked it too. Amazing place. But I still don't know if I would want to live there. America is a "freer" country. We can visit Dubai every year if you want.. ;-).
And err.. umm... do you cook at all? ;-)
huh... well y is that women always have a crush on married men...
btwn... have heard tht Dubai is the best among the countries in the middle east... but then.. US is a much better place than any of the middle east countries...
Vishy, I think it has something to do with "you want what you don't have or can't have". At least for me it does! ;)
I've lived in Dubai and in US. And personally, Dubai is a much better place. Not just in the middle east, but I think it's one of the best places to live in the world! Dubai is not an Islamic city in any way or form. You should just live there to believe it. In fact, you've made me want to post about Dubai. So look out for it!
Why should I like the west? I don't know, Leon. I miss the warmth of people. Everything in this part of the world feels so artificial. Relationships seem calculated and everybody seems materialistic.
I think Dubai is almost as "free" as US in most ways. In fact, if one lands a good job in Dubai, then there's nothing like it. Plus cost of living isn't high. And no lack of Indian food! :D The best part is it's so close to India. Maybe I'm biased because I've lived there! :)
Do I cook? I can look into a recipe book, gather all the ingredients, follow the instructions and present a dish. I've kept myself alive so far. I could learn though, if you insist. I bake great cakes though! ;)
I agree with what you have to say for the west. It's just that a lot of my friends are in the US and India. I'd have to start over in Dubai...
Maybe we should just go back to good old India.. :p.
Thank you for offering to learn how to cook btw.. I'm flattered.. :-). And what you said about cakes is definitely appealing.. I'm looking forward to sampling some of them.. ;-)
Well, why would you need anyone else in Dubai? ;) But if it's going to be India, it's got to be Bangalore! What's your favourite flavour of cake??? Except for that horrid plum cake, I don't discriminate between my cakes! :D
Rampal is a good choice in your list :P
Yay! My search for a sensible guy has ended, Arz000n.
Bangalore it is.. :-)
I've lived there for 11 years and enjoyed every single day.
Vanilla, chocolate and pineapple are my fav flavors.. Umm.. can you make black forest?.. lol
Perfect. I spent many a childhood vacation playing with Mickey Mouse at Kids Kemp. The first thing I want to do in Bangalore however is get my hands on the very famous dessert "Death by chocolate". If it's even half as good as the name sounds, I'll die a happy girl! :D
I did happen to make black forest cake once and my mom thought it was so good that she distributed it to our neighbours - neighbours we LIKE VERY MUCH, mind you! :p But then again, she's my mom.
well ms.V definitely I would want to see your post on Dubai.. I havent been there... but on my last visit to Muscat and Behrain.. developed a dislike for the countries .. I jsut found that country exploited the Desis.. .Isaw most of the desi labourers working petrol bunks and cleaning.. well not a meneal job (any job is good) but then I never found even a person (Omani) involved in those kind of jobs.. it was more like importing ppl to do jobs which they consider menial..
well I have heard that Dubai though is much relaxed in terms of religious restrictions ..but do u still find a lot of desis... cleaning the roads there and working in petrol bunks??
hmm...late it might be but still...I overhead this conversation between two people in my mind.
A: Women are so mysterious and complex man! Every attempt at understanding has proved fruitless. There seem to be a lot of layers to their personality and sometimes even a lifetime is not enough to truly discover a woman. Add to that the fact that almost every woman is unique...
B:(Interrupts at this point...)Dude! they like Shoaib...
A: Oh...sorry! I take back my words.
Hehehe. Very funny, Vikas! So how much did the sarcasmeter read on that comment??? :p
